cncKad Certified by Autodesk for Inventor 2011 - 2010/05/06

Metalix CAD/CAM, developers of the cncKad Software System for sheet metal CNC Cutting and Punching machines, is pleased to announce that it has been certified for Autodesk Inventor 2011 under the Autodesk Inventor Certified Applications Program. Such

certification is only granted to a product after it has been thoroughly tested and approved by Autodesk staff. In order to be certified, applications must meet rigorous implementation guidelines and demonstrate the highest levels of interoperability, quality and robustness when working with Autodesk Inventor software.
“We are very pleased to be certified under Autodesk Inventor’s Certified Applications Program, as it once again demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with advanced design solutions,” says Meny Maitav, head of Metalix’s CAD Integration team. “cncKad’s close integration with Autodesk Inventor allows quick and easy transfer of sheet metal parts directly into our CAM module, enabling our joint customers to focus on design, rather than part conversion and porting.”

require a heavy investment in engineer hours. cncKad solves this by running through the assembly, identifying the sheet metal parts and unfolding them using the designer’s production specifications,” Maitav explained. “This means that the flattened parts are transferred into cncKad with all their manufacture-relevant data, such as material type, sheet thickness and bend radii.”
